a challenge to be faced amid the building of an ecological constitutional state

This article aims to analyze, in the light of the legal-constitutional order then in force, the indispensable principled dialogism that must exist between consumer protection and the safeguarding of the environment — both General Principles of Economic Activity. In the course of this study, by conceiving environmental legal protection as an axiological invariant, we will turn our attention to the necessary harmonization of the study with the normative protection that must also reach the consumer, especially with regard to the phenomenon of programmed obsolescence, and in front of the paradigm of this century, namely: sustainability. Therefore, we adopt as a methodological option the bibliographic review, as well as the deductive method.
